Update: ordinary residence disputes

Regular readers who have been following the back and forth of the section 117 ordinary residence dispute between Worcestershire and Swindon may be interested to know that the Secretary of State has lodged an application for leave to appeal and is waiting to hear from the Court of Appeal whether this has been granted.  In the meantime, ordinary residence disputes raising similar issues to those aired in this case will continue to be stayed until there is final clarification from the courts. You can read the Department of Health and Social Care's update here.
