What can I do for you

Jill heads our national health & care sector.  That role sees her work with a core group of health and care partners to drive our strategy and ensure we deliver outstanding client service. There are 200+ lawyers across the firm that Jill works with in all specialities such as employment, real estate, corporate, commercial, construction, real estate investment, banking and med mal.

She also leads our healthcare, mental health and care homes teams acting for providers (public and private sector) commissioners, regulators, operators and investors on complex patient care matters. Jill supports clients with a wide variety of fascinating work including MHA and MCA advice, risk management projects, duty of candour, patient and public engagement, JRs, Inquests and NHS CHC.

Supporting your ambitions

Jill led on a significant risk management project for two mental health providers (Mersey Care and Calderstones), which was highlighted by CQC in their report on Driving Improvement in Mental Health.

Jill has helped numerous commissioning clients save millions of pounds by correctly applying the various incarnations of the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare. This included advising the commissioner in the case of Gunter (referred to in the National Framework).

In the field of judicial review Jill has supported both commissioners and providers to facilitate temporary closure of A&E departments or reconfiguration of community hospitals, without JR challenge.

What else should you know?

Jill was born and bred in Northern Ireland. She enjoys horse riding finding it a great way to de-stress and exercise.

Jill was elected by partners onto our Audit, Governance and Oversight Panel, so understands the checks and balances on a board.

Jill sits on the Zero Suicide Alliance Steering Group and is a Trustee of The Lucy Faithfull Foundation.
