Mills & Reeve beat rival law firms to win West Midlands property award

The property team scooped the award at the ceremony on 17 November for their impressive portfolio of work over the past year, which include the £40 million relocation of Birmingham City University’s (BCU) world-leading Conservatoire to Millennium Point and advising BCU on the £82 million student residencies and retail block at Eastside.

The team beat stiff competition from Gowling WLG, Eversheds and Weightmans to win the award, which recognises quality, breadth and resilience of the sector in the region.

Christian Bull, partner in the property team at our Birmingham office, said: “We have had a great year so far, securing a number of high profile deals. I’m extremely proud of the team who really have gone the extra mile to get fantastic results for our clients, putting in some long hours and working to tight deadlines, and this award demonstrates their hard work was definitely worth the late nights and early mornings!”

The award winning Birmingham property team was represented on the night by Christian Bull, Michael Whatley, Robbie Turner, Emma Connaughton, Lisa White, Mark Cole, Karen Bartlett, Alex Pleydell, Henry Mahalski and Christopher Bartley.
