Alexa specialises in resolving professional negligence claims and policy disputes. She advises insurers and professionals on both coverage and liability issues acting for a variety of insured clients including solicitors, accountants and other financial professionals. Alexa also advises professionals and insurers on professional disciplinary matters.

Supporting your ambitions

Alexa handled a complex multi-million pound claim against a solicitor regarding the signature and execution of international loan agreements. Throughout the life of the claim, Alexa managed a successful freezing injunction and strike out application as well as a number of further interim hearings, each resulting in a successful outcome with costs awarded - all of which drove the matter towards a commercial resolution for the client.

Alexa has also recently resolved a claim against a Top 50 law firm concerning their involvement in an Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975 dispute over a complex estate with a gross value of over £7m.

Alexa has advised on a number of high value claims against accountants with several recently arising out tax mitigation schemes and audit work, both from a policy perspective for Insurers and in defence of claims made.

Alexa has handled several recent claims against Insolvency Practitioners, including high profile and commercially sensitive matters. 

Alexa has advised professional clients recently in respect of disciplinary matters involving the SRA, ICAEW and IPA.
