Leah is a specialist healthcare lawyer. She acts for NHS trusts, ICBs and other healthcare organisations. She advises on complex high-profile investigations, often involving the police and regulatory bodies and inquiries. Leah also specialises in mental capacity law cases involving capacity issues, best interests and deprivation of liberty challenges in the Court of Protection and High Court under its inherent jurisdiction.

Leah is nationally renowned for her expertise in advising statutory bodies on capacity to engage in sexual relations cases that deal with novel legal, ethical and human rights issues, which continue to be tested in the courts. Notably, she was instructed by the CCG in the landmark court case Re C [2021] EWCOP 25, [2021] EWCA Civ 1527.
